Using WPSiteSync for Genesis Settings

To use the WPSiteSync for Genesis Settings add-on, start by going to the Genesis -> Import/Export page where you would normally Import or Export your Genesis Settings. At the bottom of this page, you will see some new things added that allow you to Sync your Settings to and from your Target site. You can see this in the picture here:

Before clicking on the “Push Settings to Target” or “Pull Settings from Target” buttons, you first need to select which settings you will be syncing. Use the “Theme Settings” and / or “SEO Settings” checkboxes in the Export Genesis Settings File section. Once you have selected exactly which settings you wish to sync, click on the “Push Settings to Target” button.

After clicking, a message will appear informing you that the sync is in process. When this completes after a couple seconds you will be shown a “Successfully Synced Genesis Settings.” message on success or an error message describing any problems. Now you can go to your Target site and see all of the settings that have been synced. No more downloading and uploading files.

To move settings from your Target site to the Source site, you need to install and activate the WPSiteSync for Pull add-on. This will activate the “Pull Settings from Target” button. Clicking this button will move the selected settings types from your Target site to the Source site.
