How to Use WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder

Installation

The WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder add-on needs to be installed on both the Source site that you will be syncing Content from, as well as the Target Site that you are Pushing Content to.

To install WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder, you need to upload the Zip file that you downloaded from the wpsitesync.com web site after your purchase. To do this, go to your Plugins -> Add New page. Here, you can see an “Upload Plugin” button next to the title that reads “Add Plugins.” Click on the Upload Plugin button. On the next page, you will find a “Choose File” button. You can click on this and select the file from the File Chooser dialog. Once the file is selected, click on the “Install Now” button and your plugin will be uploaded and installed. On the following screen, select the “Activate Plugin” link and the WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder plugin is ready for use.

Please note: WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder requires WPSiteSync for Content version 1.3.1. If you do not already have version 1.3.1, please upgrade the plugin. If you do not, then the features of the WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder will not activate themselves, as they will not work anyway.

This installation and upgrade process for WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder and WPSiteSync for Content needs to be repeated on both the Source and Target sites.

Configuration

The WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder add-on requires no configuration for use. It will make use of the existing Settings for WPSiteSync for Content.

Using WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder

The WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder add-on can be used to sync Beaver Builder content in two ways:

First, the WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder add-on allows you to sync Templates that you create with Beaver Builder. To do this, you can edit any Template that you’ve created or modified. While editing, you will see the WPSiteSync metabox that looks like this:

When you click on the “Push to Target” button, the Template is moved to your Target site. If the named Template does not exist on the Target site, it will be created. If it already exists, the contents of the Template will be overwritten with contents of the Template from your Source site.

The second mode of syncing is for the Content that you create with Beaver Builder – the posts and pages that you build. Before you start the Page Builder, you will see the same WPSiteSync metabox shown above. You can use the “Push to Target” button here as normal and the Content will be sent to your Target site.

We have also added a em>WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder “Push to Target” button for use while working with the Beaver Builder Page Builder. Once you’ve started the Page Builder, you will see the WPSiteSync buttons on the Beaver Builder toolbar, as in the following image:

These buttons operation the same way they do on the normal page editor screen within WordPress.

However you decide to use WPSiteSync for Content, when you “Push to Target”, all of the Beaver Builder design will be Pushed to the configured Target site. This will include any photos, galleries and designs you’ve created with the Beaver Builder tool.

If you also have the WPSiteSync for Pull add-on installed, you can Sync your Beaver Builder Content using the “Pull from Target” operations. The Content on your Target site is then Pulled to the Source site, just the same as Pulling any other type of Content with WPSiteSync.

We hope you enjoy using WPSiteSync for Beaver Builder. If you notice any problems or have any further questions about its use, please get in touch. We would also love your feedback on ways we can improve the tool and make it a permanent part of your workflow.
