How to Configure License Keys for WPSiteSync add-ons
Licenses Settings Tab
Setting up the License Keys for WPSiteSync add-ons is done within the Settings page for WPSiteSync for Content. Click on the Settings -> WPSiteSync™ menu within your WordPress admin and you will see a page that looks like this:
Clicking on the indicated “Licenses” tab will switch you to the Licenses Configuration page, allowing you to enter your License Keys.
Note: If you do not have any WPSiteSync for Content add-on plugins (such as WPSiteSync for Pull or WPSiteSync for Menus) installed and activated, you will not see the Licenses tab on the Settings page. Check to make sure that the plugin has been activated on the Plugins menu.
License Settings Page
Once on the Licenses settings page, you will see a list of your installed WPSiteSync add-ons and the License Keys associated with each one:
This page shows that the License Keys are entered and activated for several add-ons, but the newly added WPSiteSync for Menus is not activated yet.
To activate a new License Key, you need to find the License Key that was sent to you in your purchase email.
The purchase email looks like this:
The License Key is indicated with the red arrow. Copy this License Key into the License Key form field on the Settings page then click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.
Once the License Keys are saved, you can use the “Activate” and “Deactivate” buttons to the right of the License Key field to activate or deactivate the License Key.
After clicking on the “Activate” button, the Status indicator for that License Key will be updated. If successful, the Status is changed to “Active” and the WPSiteSync add-on is now ready for use.
Source and Target Activation
The License Key for each WPSiteSync add-on needs to be entered and activated on both the Source site and the Target site. If this is not done, you will get errors while trying to synchronize your content, or you won’t see the feature available when attempting to synchronize your content.
Errors While Activating Licenses
If unsuccessful, a message will be displayed under the License Key field and the Status will be updated to “Error”. Some of the possible errors are that the License Key is incorrect, in which case you can try copying and pasting the License Key from your email again. It is also possible that the License Key has expired or there is some other issue in authenticating the License.
